Pros
Kaleido is great place to work in Raleigh area if you want to work in startup environment and explore blockchain space. They could be next unicorn out of Raleigh area in coming years. It is great place to be if you want to learn and grow as a software engineer. You would be expected to hit the ground running and would be able to see impact of your work very quickly. They use modern stack and frameworks, so skilled learned on the job would be valuable and highly relevant in the industry. You would be in company of amazing and super talented coworkers. I highly value my experience working at kaleido and am grateful for the mentorship received from coworkers and founders. Work location is great and is at the heart of downtown raleigh. They are also flexible with remote work. There is always good beer on tap if you are into it.
Cons
A very small team is responsible for building and managing and running a large scale cloud platform. A lot is expected of engineers for the size of the team. If at time as in happens in startup, if you end up working on things that you don't love (Someone has to do it), you might feel burn out.
