Pros
It's pretty easy to get hired at Kaplan test prep. The bar set for tutors is rather low; they justify it with their "test taking skills" provided by their books
Cons
It is extremely difficult to receive a raise through their evaluation system. They do not provide any incentive for the tutors to teach well. The overall feel when I worked there was cutting costs as much as possible. As a result, I saw the tutors as a revolving door and few people stayed for a long period of time.
