Pros

Senior technical and management level employees get paid quite well. Pay for entry level employees is probably about average. The company is VERY good about promoting internally or allowing lateral moves to let people try new things. Quality of life is very dependent upon the group you are in. If you're a project manager in the PMO, the time commitment can be high. If you're in one of the solution centers, there is generally a better work life balance (with the exception of a couple overworked engineering teams). The working environment is very enjoyable. Everyone is very approachable, all the way up to the CEO level. Good ideas are valued over rank. The company has been growing at an incredible rate. There is plenty of job security and opportunity to be had. Overall, the benefits package is probably slightly above average in quality.

Cons

Along with the tremendous growth and integration of newly acquired businesses, the company has had difficulty establishing well defined processes. It can be confusing at times to figure out the, "How do we usually do this?" type scenarios. The company has struggled to hire enough people to match its growth. The hiring momentum has really started to pick up in recent months, however, so this problem should start going away soon.

Pros

The North American CEO Genuinely cares about the well being of the employees and made it clear that work life balance was to be respected. They publicly disclosed their vacation time they took to encourage people to catch up. The work was interesting and Kapsch is always on the bleeding edge of technology implementation in the North American Market. Every project manager I worked with on Tolling and Traffic was made me want to learn how to operate on their level. Kapsch was very inclusive, I was provided a pride version of the email signature in 2021 and was never pressured to change it to appease customers. I deeply appreciated that,

Cons

The workload can be demanding as the headcount has not caught up to pre pandemic levels caused by delays in project awards as funding dries up.
