Pros
In this industry they are one of the most professional and make sure the residents are well cared for. Facilities are clean, organized and by the book. There are opportunities to learn and develop your skills and knowledge if you apply yourself. The kids are great and, for the most part, fun to work with and to see grow and advance.
Cons
Financial- industry wide, the pay is never enough for the importance of our work. However, Kavere tries to stay equal or better than other facilities. Part of the difficulty is dsp's and leads should be paid more for what they do daily. Due to the high stress nature of the work and no holidays, there should be more PTO once full-time for mental health (starts at 5 days a year, should start at 10 days) as most Monday through Friday jobs give 10 days and also holidays (up to 10). Working an office job vs Kavere is the difference of 20 days off to 5. With equal pay and weekends off, people will choose to work elsewhere.
