Pros
Because of the size of the staff, you are bound to make some friends. Depending on what dealership you're in, there is normally some craic between staff which makes the day less painful. Lower level management can be quite approachable but have no real authority for days off etc. The Sports & Social club is also a great addition and opportunity to mix, and break up the year. Its a successful company from which you can get great hands-on experience in the motor industry.
Cons
Be prepared to be worked to the bone with all take and very little give. The days are long, holidays are minimal and restricted to certain times of the year. Work/Life balance is non-existent. Staff appreciation is low, and you are and always will be viewed as replaceable. The basic wages are shockingly low, you will be dependent on commission. Upper level management are tough work, unapproachable and difficult. Don't be swayed from the success, and modern, youthful appearance of the group - some of its internal affairs are rotting.
