Pros
Interns and staff are almost all students from UF, so the social climate is usually okay. It offers (mostly) flexible scheduling.
Cons
All interns are unpaid. You're told that you can get a paying job, but it is completely contingent on securing grants for the organization so you will likely never get paid. Because everyone is a student, there's a lot of turnover and last-minute schedule changes. The management and paid staff are routinely late or do not show at all, seem to look down on interns, and are often unavailable by phone or in person. Interactions with management can be volatile, and blame is place solely on unpaid interns regardless of actual fault. Similarly, management and paid staff trend towards taking credit for tasks they were not a part of. The culture in regards to interactions between interns versus management and paid staff is completely toxic.
