      Pros

      Flexible, we organize our work hours however we want to, great facilities (access to 5 campuses including private booth at Hiyoshi, and office corner at SFC with free printing service, plus all the libraries)

      Cons

      Guidance for our academic work depends on supervisor’s personality. No supervision = no guidance. Low salary for a contract of 20 hours per week.

      Great people. Faculty and administrators are cooperative. Many excellent students.

      Cons

      Inherent issues with any Japanese university -- faculty do not have enough specialized administrative support.
