Pros
- Flexible schedules - Hybrid work for most office roles - Mostly friendly coworkers - CEO seems to care and has a vision for the company's future, even though he's beholden to a terrible board of directors
Cons
- Fairly low pay compared to similar roles and responsibilities on the market, and subpar medical/dental benefits offered just to save the company money - New owners/board of directors are private equity and don't care about the company's roots - Leadership team has a lot of turnover, with most of the C suites having been replaced at least once in the past year and one was replaced 3 separate times - If you aren't a "yes man", you might get branded as "difficult" and lose your job without warning - Heavy focus on moving to AI for everything - Department objectives are never clearly defined - Lack of accountability at the director and VP levels. A few big personalities run the show, even though they have no idea what's going on, and their bosses refuse to see that as a problem - Departments bicker constantly - No career progression unless you threaten to leave or know somebody higher up - An expectation that you'll put your life on hold at the company's every beck and call. It's not as bad as some companies, but it's more often than is acceptable
