they have fantastic recruiting and a superior recruiting plan only thing is they dont"back it up so many do not make it through academy keep that in mind next time you pay a smooth grand for a apple product the way Kelly Connect treats potential employess is borderline eeoc law suit worthy

Hello , It is 1 am I can not sleep because I was fired Monday. So i want to share my Kelly Connect /Apple experience. I was extremely excited and very eager, The entire process took 3 weeks . I was spot on every request I wanted that Job .It was perfect . I love Apple products ,I believe in the product and the company . I was elated with every step I took. the requirements are stringent. from where you place the Imac in your office to 100% attendance policy. if you miss a day your out . In your phone interview they ask your preference of your days off for training . i chose Sunday /Monday.First day orientation is only 4:45 hours and it is all you will get on your first check . In my opinion it could be longer and fill in a day very easily . So my trainer was out on personal family issue time we had a sub first 2 days . so The orientation instructor and trainer are not the same , Our Sub was fantastic . The woman has 20 years of experience and it shows. So on our actual 3rd day of academy we meet our trainer . It was disastrous. 1) every hour on the hour we went for a 10 + min break . Ok i get people have lives and needs however before lunch we had 45 min in breaks . There is alot of ciriculum to go through you are told from day 1 there are 2 test one midterm and a final . so by lunch im not getting anything this instructor is laying down . She is way more into chatting up the class than teaching . And her reading style goes from very very fast to repeating and repeating and repeating like she was stuck on rewind I immediately requested a change in instructor . i was denied as the supervisor was her friend and I was informed that my instructor had the highest passing students and It was me . Ok when someone constantly stammers uhh and uhm and uhhh and more uhm and suck their teeth on a blackboard class room and all while bouncing the curriculum. You are assigned a 15 day virtual workbook to complete. She had us checking off things we never did .I refuses to indicate I had completed anything that I had not actually done . And I heard from my talking down I received from my trainers supervisor that i was stuck If i wanted to keep the job. Again my thought is learn all I can from her. I did experience technical issue with my Imac I had a audio issue that took me away from my class and when the help desk saw my screen he questioned why the trainer had removed me from class. Which she constantly did. No matter what was going on if you didn't give her the required response immediately she threw you out and this was everyone in the class. If you have ever dealt with Blackboard you can grasp how much of a issue this actually was . She continued to train horribly. Lied about when to midterm was she told us all week it was gonna be on Saturday nope she bounced it to Friday we where not prepared majority of the class failed . She ended up leaving half that Saturday for family issues . So our 3rd sub was not a IOS trainer he was Imac . And his speed of communicating was insanity. no one could keep up with him . And we did end up repeating the module. and again during the following week she bailed again leaving us in different hands again .and again we are bouncing all over the curriculum . During out Customer facing time we didn't get to make calls due to tech issues . one student didn't have Core at all . even up to the final. you are not allowed any paper or pens or any cells or any way to copy the information all you have is your Imac notes and stickies . So if your not Imac Friendly get that way . before you even apply. The material covered is typical for the position i believe everyone would benefit from a added time and slowing things down to acceptable pace. I truly do not believe Apple wants people treated this way . i also feel if some one ask to be transferred to a different class that should be respected . As An adult I have a firm grasp on whom I v\can learn from and whom I cant. i did have to have a set headsets replaced and it did not fix my audio issue . Kelly is extremely strict on no communication between the students at all . they sent us a email saying we may be offered a retake for the final . 2 days before we took it . I tried my hardest. truly I knew i had missed some because there where thing s that where on the final we did not review . I did not pass . Am i Bitter yes I am . Is this vengeance no ,it is not . i do not anyone out there thinking they have found a job that can actually support them and feed their family and pay thier bills and survive to count on this. I was not informed I was fired immediately . i went to log into my I mac to study and found i was locked out . 3 hours later i got a phone call. on Monday Am . I was told when I gave my outboarding survey i would be contacted . I haven't been contacted .and truly do not believe I will be . All this could have been avoided .had i been given the chance with a decent trainer. my cft mentor was ecstatic at my presentation and customer service voice and the way I was following procedures. so this boiled down to 2 things it is not what you know ..it definitely is who you know.. and the click will protect each other no matter what the cost to new hires .. if my lights get shut off they care less they had each others backs... and according to Kelly you have no right and are expendable as a delete button all they have communicated with me is the shipping labels to return the equipment and my exit survey. I am severely disappointed that a company with such a compassionate reputation for those who think outside the box as Apple is allowing a Company such as Kelly Connect to treat people as disposable .

Pros

Virtual, work from home position. The pay was great, the hours were great, they work with you and are very flexible, can always pick up shifts if you have under 40 hours, (you're scheduled 40 hours but if you miss a day that week) you can pick up another shift from the board

Cons

There aren't any cons that I can think of at this time.
