Cons
Baffling situation every since Kemper took over Infinity Insurance. (I started when it was Infinity Insurance Company). Went from a family owned, close knit environment to a Walmart type, Profit at all cost, Consume anything in its way, I don't care about the employees work place. It has been a very trying transition to say the least. Many long time employees have left and new employees struggle to keep up with a laundry list of unattainable goals, procedures and workload. There is far more work than can be accomplished in a regular 8 hour work day yet goals are demanded on you on a weekly basis. Over-Time is seldomly granted despite the unmanageable workload. Being that Kemper bought out Alliance United and Infinity Insurance, adjusters have to work multiple separate systems for each policy. Add a fun phone metric in which it monitors all your calls in and out and to boot you have to log out of the phone system even when you go to the bathroom. It has become the most militant company I have ever worked for. There is not one person that I know of that works there that is not frustrated or depressed or both. Employees don't care to take vacations in fear of not making 'goals'. On top of everything there is very limited potential for growth despite all the company slogans such as 'Own your own Career' which is the furthest thing from the truth; you don't own anything but rather the company just owns you.
