Pros

One of the things I like about Reserve National is the conservative culture and the emphasis on doing what's right for others. There's certainly bad apples in every bunch but overall, we strive to do what's best for the client and work to develop products that make a difference in the lives of the people we work with. I have the privilege of working in our Agency Department and we are committed to providing an agency opportunity that allows one to make a great living while providing for their family. Is it challenging, absolutely. Is it for everyone, absolutely not. But for the individual who wants to impact the lives of others, put the team before himself, it's a tremendous opportunity and I would defend it against any other opportunity out there. We really do have products that can help someone no matter what stage of life they find themselves in. Whether its a young family just getting started or a husband and wife who find themselves retired and trying to sort through the stack of confusion, we can help.

Cons

The only possible downside I can think of is the travel that some agents do to meet with people looking for life and health insurance. It might mean you have to stay overnight away from home. But the reward for that travel is seeing someone that few, if any, will go to see. These are the people who don't have a ton of money but whose word and handshake are priceless. Everyone has to decide what's in it for them and what sacrifices are they willing to make. Some will, some wont and that's ok.

Pros

Pay and benefits, supportive coworkers, opportunities to develop critical thinking, communication, and investigation skills. The role provided valuable experience in handling complex claims and making coverage and liability decisions.

Cons

High caseloads and demanding workloads can make it challenging to maintain work life balance. The job can be stressful at times due to deadlines, customer expectations, and the volume of claims.
