Pros
Employees are generally good people, kind hearted and mean well. There’s a strong team environment among non-managerial and non-leadership employees. Occasionally there are some good free snacks available and we get an extra holiday with statutory holidays in the summer months.
Cons
No real direction from account directors, they’re not sure what they’re doing. My account director has blamed me for her own errors on a number of occasssions. The marketing planning team take ideas from the general client service department and passes them off as their own ideas. The CEO is oblivious to the fact that top talent in the company has left the organization and they don’t reward employees who go above and beyond. Company doesn’t care to grow into other industries and doesn’t have the capacity to take on new work, not a scalable organization. My manager is an account director and she doesn’t seem to care about the success of her team. I complained on 2 occasions that my back is hurting and even have a medical note but she refuses to answer my requests for a standing desk or even an ergonomic chair to help my sciatic nerves....just an awful organization. Very disappointed, hoping to find another job soon. This is one of a few organizations where the account directors can get away with abusing their employees because HR is too busy sampling a furniture catalogue rather than improving the company’s treatment of employees.
