Pros
Beautiful setting near great restaurants and nightlife.
Cons
Management unappreciative of hard-working employees. Employee rewards system is a joke-it is hard to earn any decent rewards, unless you like cheap plastic dishes. Management make no effort to fix recurring problems. Hotel OS and printers are constantly down. Housekeeping and front desk areas chronically understaffed. Scheduling is poorly done and hotel occupancy is not taken into account when making schedules. Budget concerns are far more important than guest service and staff well-being. The hotel takes advantage of the international interns system for the tax break. The interns are only on the job for a year so they never have to increase the wages. There interns aren't given the instruction and training that should be a part of their experience in the US. They are simply stuck in the job for a year and left to it. Front desk managers give preferential treatment to some staff and treat others like dirt. If you're not 'in the club', you won't be valued. Your ideas and concerns are not listened to, you are not treated well. Step one foot wrong and they come down hard on you, while others get away with murder. Management claims to 'care' about employees, as long as you don't bring any personal concerns to work, ever.
