Pros

For the most part, supervisors care about staff and concerns. Even newer staff members in the same role are easy to talk to and be friendly with. Compensation is fair. Takes a while to make compensation worth the job with merit increases. Felt appreciated in the early years.

Cons

Just know there is no way to advance in this role, or move to a different department. Since becoming resource, there is no option to come back even at part time status. New full time employees get extra shifts before resource does, even when you have been there longer. If you try to branch out to another department, be prepared to do an interview and be told one thing, but the opposite is true. Reached out via email for updates, no responses. Unfortunately it seems I was ghosted, when I’m not even worth responding to. It can be crushing to go through this as an employee of Kettering Health and getting so disregarded like that. Current CEO did away with bonuses. Toxic work environment altogether, it weighs you down. It was so much better almost a decade ago. Cannot recommend Kettering Health to any friends or family for treatment or employment.
