Pros

KEYENCE knows what it is, how to be efficient and how to be effective. I love that guiding principle and how everything is based off of that. Great company to start early in your career, as the growth potential is there. I enjoy the management style as well, with guidelines given, but a lot of leeway on how you achieve those goals and KPIs. The open office set up assists with that, since I can just walk up and have a conversation with someone when I have a question or want to talk through an idea. The work life balance is great, with the only downside to it being the commute since I live downtown, but that is a self-inflicted wound. The Company works well with my military requirements, ensuring that I can achieve both the conditions of my employment here at KEYENCE as well as my Governmental responsibilities (4 days paid military leave), and has never given me push-back on taking to many days. This was especially true when my Annual Training took place in the middle of our busiest time of year (Career Fair Season) and my management didn't even bat an eye to approve my leave period.

Cons

Corporate policy can be a little "old fashioned" specifically with their clothing and tattoo policies.

Pros

Great training program, and good mix of roles. You wear a lot of hats at this job which prepares you well for your career. Business and technically focused, and a real product expert type of role.

Cons

Its a tough job and a lot of work and long hours. You need to deal with customers constantly through a lot of virtual support.

Pros

Fast paced work environment. CRM is the best I have ever had access to. Data tracking and sales insight is top notch. The regional director for TSS in Michigan/Indiana is great to work under. Leads are easily available, the product is great and it’s easy to get in the door places.

Cons

Metrics are more focused on quantity over quality. Frequently working 50+ hour weeks. Too many reps per territory and it can create a negative perception. Bonus structure vs straight commission is frusterating. Clear advancement structure however being ranked against peers with different sales targets in frusterating. Feels like a turn and burn type of mentality towards sales reps.
