Pros
Great way to start your career in sales. Direct competitors view Keyence as a gold standard on resumes and will actively recruit you, pay you more, and treat you better.
Cons
Your management team and territory will make and break your career. If you’re treated well, stay. As soon as you see a red flag (discrimination, gaslighting, bullying), run, because things will only get worse. You can be highly successful, rewarded, promoted. You can also be successful, rewarded, and then overworked. They constantly put their high achievers in double territories instead of hiring, and when they leave, replace them with 2-3 shiny new sales people. They hire new sales people for “growth” territories, who then quit because they can’t sell when really their territory was dead and their manager was too busy to help. They “hire from within” and “only at the entry level” which is great for new grads, but also means the entire company is brain washed. Outside perspective is so important, and the grass is much greener elsewhere.
