Pros
Small company, run efficiently and employing wonderful people. Management is aware of typical issues for developers and tries to remove blocks and problems. No drama, management keeps internal projects going so there is always work.
Cons
Contracts are often with extremely poorly run groups with little understanding of how to run a development shop. Work is typically legacy bug fixing and "low end" work and is usually managed badly by the clients
