Pros
- Reasonably good pay for an intern in Barcelona - Professional introduction to the organisation - Interesting and consistent branding - Good office location (Barcelona) - Good flexibility in terms of taking holiday (24 Days) - Opportunity to learn a lot - Excellent opportunity to understand what motivates you in a job role and what your core strengths and weaknesses are
Cons
- Culture in the office demotivating and often awkward, spent many days working in silence - Little team integration and many clashing personalities in the office - All work was delegated from America, if the employees in America didn't agree with a proposition it was simply scrapped. Some members of the Barcelona team where particularly experienced and proficient in a specific area, yet they often had their ideas dismissed. This demotivated a lot of members of staff - Little reward for hard work - Interns made to feel very separated from the full time employees - Some members of staff very rude and some had arguments in the office that added to the awkward atmosphere. - No mention of a graduate job - Sometimes meaningless tasks were assigned - Felt that I could have added more value to the company, however I was not in a position to do so - Little strategy in the department, no goals or targets were established during my work experience
