Pros

You have the lesson plans for pre k and k already done by the HQ (they do have lots of mistakes but it's good if you don't want to make lesson plans) salary on time have materials already done

Cons

NO BREAK between classes . from 18:30 to 20:30 you need to work non stop and somehow manage to let the first group of kids out and let the other group in with NO BUFFERING TIME. Have lots of events and the management expects you to come up with ideas for birthday /special days/holidays. Very low flight allowance money (5000 yuan) per 1 year contract. Only 5 days of paid leave per year !!!! They sometimes make you work non stop for 2 weeks just because it's more convenient for the kids and then compensate you the weekends you have worked WITHOUT EVEN ASKING YOU . Summer camp is just a nightmare. It involves you making from scratch a lot of lesson plans and you work from 8:30 in the morning until about 21:00 at night for a month. You get compensated with the overtime off (about 2 weeks) but it's very difficult. They allow sick kids to sit in class. They make you come sick to work. It is normal for people come sick with a runny nose, sore throat and even fever. They want you to lie you are from USA or Canada (even if you are from south Africa and you are legally allowed to work as an English teacher ). you can't tell anyone at work about your secret therefore you can't make any friends.

Pros

Corporate company pushes franchisees to follow their standards

Cons

Owners don't always care to told up the standard and will lie and expect employees to lie as well. If they don't lie, they get pushed out. Even letting regional managers know they will try to turn a blind eye.
