Pros

Cons
Company is dishonest on many levels. Business model is to understaff schools, stuff them full of kids, and deal with the teacher turnover. At times you may be alone with 30+ kids. The hours are long, and you have to stand the whole time (no leaning on the walls!!). The lessons take too much time to prep and are often not level appropriate. They will also try to cheat you and set you up with overpriced housing, by taking advantage of the fact that you can't speak japanese, and don't know anyone. Too many games and not enough learning. Kids know hundreds of nouns and memorized phrases but can't conjugate the verb "to be" because grammar is completely ignored. Mixed level programs make teaching impossible. Curriculum team is inept. Nobody seems to know how teaching works, and nobody from HQ listens to suggestions from teachers. Bilinguals are underpaid. It's about money. Nothing is going to change so just save yourself the headache get a different job.
