Pros

My boss was very supportive and concerned about my development.

Cons

10 cold calls, 6 Demos, 2 sales per day. While carrying a heavy sample case and two large catalogs. It's physically demanding you need a strong back. My back was sore after the first day. Multiple salespeople in the same areas. The high potential customers are already taken. In order to make a living, you have to sell $400,000.00 per year. Hard to do selling to car repair places and body shops and farms. Requiring a 4-week calendar in advance. Listing 200 places to call on for 4 weeks. Then after doing that work they scrub it and take off the places that someone is calling on. So you have to go back and pick more till you get 200. If you don't have companies to bring with you it's very hard. To build a territory from scratch.
