Pros

Benefits are decent. I was able to work at my location for almost 6 years. The children are wonderful. They usually draw an above average clientele. The parents think because they pay so much, they must be getting the best care. Sometimes that's true, but sometimes its not.

Cons

Management at all levels is horrific. They do not want e-mails concerning issues. They do not answer phone calls. Promises are often not worth a penny. Children are constantly being moved around so they can send teachers home. HR Dept as well is third rate at best. Just try and get hold of them and get answers to your questions. This coming from an employee who was a top award recipient most of my time there. When a raise was taken away from me because they wanted me to take additional classes, but wouldn't afford me the time to take the class, that was the beginning of the end. Transfers are almost nonexistent. My director simply would not allow me to leave. Even employment outside the company was mysteriously stopped after the new company would talk to my KLC director. Calls and e-mails to area management....still waiting for contact back. I did not realize how bad it was until I switched to another company. The director at the new company knew all about the games KLC plays and refused to even contact my KLC director for a reference. She trusted her own instincts, she told me.

Pros

I loved my coworkers. Many became lifelong friends. The children and families we worked with were wonderful.

Cons

The company tried to keep labor costs down which meant rooms were at capacity most of the time with the least amount of staff possible.
