Pros
It’s great if you love kids, the pay is better than 90% of other jobs that you could get with minimal experience, there are plenty of opportunities for growth in the company if you are willing to put in the effort to do extra training. Paid vacation & sick time too!
Cons
Not too much freedom to teach kids, everything needs to be by the book. I think in this industry there needs to be a lot of “winging it” and doing what makes the kids happy and keeps them busy, not every single teeny tiny thing needs to focus on documenting their development. Teacher requests are also not often listened to in a timely manner, if at all. If you don’t like strict rules, be a nanny because this probably isn’t the job for you.
