Pros
Long-time (5+ year) employee. Kindful has made a lot of progress over the years in a lot of areas. Great culture, with reasonable and flexible work polices. There's a lot of transparency in the culture, which is been a big area of growth over my time here, and the time off policies have continually gotten better. There were some early issues with trust and communication that the management team has made genuine efforts to fix, which is something I truly appreciate. I think this is a solid place, with a trustworthy management structure and genuinely good people at all levels. Expectations for me as an engineer have always been reasonable, mentorship has been generous and available, and I've been able to really grow in knowledge and responsibility over my time here.
Cons
Employer contributions to the 401k would be a nice addition to the benefits portfolio. Our insurance package has always been solid, but it changes fairly often when trying to find the best value, so some stability there would also be great, but as a small company, I can't really complain about our overall benefits practice. The review process has historically been somewhat sporadic, but there are recent efforts in place to really solidify that as well.
