Pros
If you are capable and can take initiative you will have opportunities to build out and own things at Kinetic. The only ceiling for people who have proven their capacity is their own ability to execute.
I loved the people that I met and had the opportunity to work with at Kinetic, truly one of the best parts of the job. I remain close with several people I met there and miss the place.
Kinetic works with fantastic high profile brands which is a great way to get exposure and gain key contacts in the industry.
On the technical side, the capabilities of the tech team are top notch and it was amazing what they were able to achieve in what time period.
Cons
Resource constraints are a concern for all startups and Kinetic is no exception. There are plenty of things we would have liked to do but could not because the need to do other things. I am very proud of what we achieved and if you're willing to put in the work then you can make things happen but don't expect to have an idea and have someone else make it happen.
The work/life balance was great but there were times I wished we had done a little more bearing down/nights and weekends grinding it out. One of the best parts of the company is their mature attitude, which is a great sorbet to some of the startup environments I have been in, but at times people lose sight of the fact that it is a startup, and not a super-stable midcap company.
