Next to zero training before being thrown to the wolves in your department. I was not put in the job assignment that I applied for - hiring manager seemed biased towards me. Said they didn’t need anymore officers, they needed screeners, but I saw plenty of new officer hires during my HR training which contradicted what the hiring manager told me. All jobs are seasonal, no permanent jobs.
