Pros

Ran off your feet all the time so the day flies by, normally have weekends off, most colleagues were nice people

Cons

Severely under staffed. Won't even allow over time to get work done by the low number of staff. Lack of training Hard to even get a break. Was 6 hours working flat out one day without even a cup of tea. Management constantly changing their minds about different rules or what they expect from you Terrible atmosphere, some very kind and good people there who need to get out. Although, a lot of back stabbing going on that is carried out by others. No team spirit. Equipment (ie. printers) always breaking down No HR manager on site and nobody seems to care about staff complaints. Outright bullying happening to some employees by management that seem to get away with it as there is nobody there who cares or who will intervene Will barely supply a cup or cutlery in the canteen and you can forget about a drop of milk! In the end I was embarrassed to even work for the PRIVATE hospital as they stopped giving our patients tea and toast after procedures in order to save money. Overall: overworked, stressful as hell, prepare for back stabbing, leaving work in tears on occasions (happened to me and a colleague as we were so worked up), witnessing bullying. You will end up being an angry person all the time from working this job. Not worth it.

Pros

Nice people to work with

Cons

Working at Kingsbridge Hospital was one of the most disappointing experiences I’ve had. The biggest issue was the management, which I found to be completely ineffective. Rather than supporting staff, providing proper training, or leading by example, there seemed to be far too much time spent in the office gossiping and discussing other employees instead of helping the team. New staff were often left to figure things out on their own with very little guidance or support. This created an unnecessary amount of stress and made it difficult to feel confident in the role. A workplace should invest in its employees, especially those who are new, but that certainly wasn’t my experience. The pay was also extremely poor considering the workload. It often felt like I was expected to do the jobs of multiple people without any recognition or additional pay. The expectations placed on staff were unreasonable, and the workload quickly became exhausting. The overall atmosphere was negative and demoralising. Instead of feeling valued, I felt drained, overworked, and unhappy. It’s a shame because the hospital has the potential to be a great place to work, but until management starts prioritising leadership, staff development, and respect for employees, I wouldn’t recommend working there.

Pros

Some of staff are nice

Cons

The General Manager is a bully and loads of great staff leave because of her directly. She has no clue how to manage a hospital and has created a really bad culture in the place
