Pros

Thorough training given across all aspects of caring for those with diverse challenges. Working in a homely environment, ensuring each service user receives the proper care and attention to meet their individual needs. Staff work as a team throughout. My overview.. Working for Kingsley is my first job in the caring sector, after 27 years in retail. This role has been such an eye opener for me as an individual. The training is intense, but crucial to my role enabling me to carry out my duties in caring for our service users. The staff, both floor and management, work together as a team, and we all play our part in order for our establishment to run as smoothly as possible, allowing us to deliver the care and support that our service users need on an individual basis. Overall, I love working for Kingsley, it is such a rewarding job, if I leave off from a shift having made a service user smile or laugh, I know that I've had a successful shift.

Cons

Due to the construction of the business, the hours, or shifts, can be long at 14hrs, (but that may be negotiated with management) Some service users may do things you don't particularly like to see or hear, ie spitting, shouting, staring.

Pros

Large company but has a family feel to it. This really became apparent at the start of the pandemic. Hard work is rewarded.

Cons

Workload can be too much. This is mainly due to extra work generated by additional precautions/ paperwork required due to covid.
