Pros

Gave me good start-up experience and how not to run a company

Cons

So so many. They handled the pandemic so badly. There was a creeping axe lay-off [lack of] plan that never made sense nor was it strategic. Europe was the worst hit and everybody wondered who was next. The strategy changed so often because one would be decided, it would be backed at the top, then the owners would change their minds. Every decision is on a short-term basis. There is no trust - everybody is a number. Everybody in Europe blames HR but I realised after I left that it wasn't their fault at all and they were a pawn in all of this. HR in Asia seems very reactive to the owners' requests so there's no strategy there at all. Unless they change and adapt to the culture differences they won't be able to run in Europe in the future.

Thank you for taking the time to leave a review. Streamlining our workforce was a heartbreaking decision and one we did not take lightly. We understand it caused a lot of stress and that some of it could have been minimized on our end. While we certainly hope we will never be in a similar situation again, we learned valuable lessons on how to lead a company through a crisis. We sincerely thank you for your hard work and dedication.

Pros

Bullish on future Tavel trends. Nice co-workers.

Cons

Company is based in APAC and the US team does not get the resource they need to be successful. US leadership team sits overseas and has no clear direction or idea of what success looks like, or what is happening in the markets you’re working so hard to win over. Strict PTO policy and no days off for religious observances. Witnessed HR terminate employees health benefits without notice, leaving a colleague with pre-existing conditions condition's coverage.

Hi there, thanks for taking the time to share your review with us. We recognize that geographical distance can create challenges in the cascading of information, particularly with our recent expansion in the US market. Rest assured, we’re working hard to ensure our US-based employees have all the resources they need to thrive via multiple communication channels and our People & Culture team is continuously looking to ensure we can create the best experience for the team on the ground. We hear you on your health benefits, and we'd like to understand your sentiments further. Please feel free to connect with your HRBP for a chat to clarify any concerns you may have. We have noted down your feedback and will ensure we look to see how best we can manage expectations in this regard moving forward. Clear communication and defined policy are crucial for our team alignment, and we are actively working to improve in these areas. Thanks for your input, and we send you our best wishes for your upcoming endeavors.
