Pros
Very laid-back and low-stress environment. The managers were very chill, and it felt more like a family than a workplace. I had 7 shifts completely dedicated to training, and although most of the training was in areas I didn't really need to know (i.e. cash register), it was the most training I've ever had at a retail job.
Cons
2 shifts per week, low pay, you're either bored or swamped (no in-between), some rude coworkers and customers. Also, having to ring people out at the jewelry counter. I was never trained on jewelry and had no idea how to answer their questions. "Is this an 18 karat gold ring with a ruby set in emerald?" Your guess is as good as mine, I don't know.
