Pros

It's a relatively easy (but sometimes stressful) job. Everyone starts out as a gaming associate and earns raises to their hourly wage as they advance through the games. There are always opportunities for growth as well. Promotions are made on a semi-annual basis and there is paid coaching and training for almost every position the company has to offer. Most of the people I've worked with at Knighted (both subordinates and superiors) have been decent, hardworking people, and I've had a great time getting to know everyone on our team. The health benefits are pretty good, and there are plenty of employee resources that associates can access if they need help with something in particular. The 401k program the company offers is pretty lackluster though. Fidelity's personal Roth IRA option actually provides better returns over a longer period.

Cons

Working in a 24/7 industry is difficult, especially also because the turnover rate is unusually high. There are no set shifts for anyone, as shifts are assigned based on operational necessity, though the management team does their best to be accommodating to everyone in terms of scheduling. The job of a gaming associate can sometimes be challenging when it comes to communication, since many associates did not learn English as their first language and language barriers do come up quite frequently. As an operations supervisor, I also struggled with keeping up with the 12-hour night shifts, especially after a busy week when we were particularly short-staffed.

Pros

Company invests in it's employees. The casino industry is very tough and compared to other companies out there they make an effort to take care of their people and their communities.

Cons

The company as gotten very big and sometimes you get lost in the shuffle. There is still some 'learn as you go' situations but Knighted has really come a long way to develop internal leadership, curriculums and training structures.

Pros

There’s always work to do. If you’re like me and don’t enjoy being idle, that can definitely be a positive. You have some really amazing people that you meet in between.

Cons

Leadership lacks direction and consistency, there’s little to no real accountability, just a pattern of deflection and blame-shifting. Good people often leave due to mismanagement & dysfunction ( & not the good kind).
