Pros

KnowBe4 has traditionally been great for open communication and is still far better than most places. The daily CEO briefing makes you feel like a part of something important and the topics are thought provoking and useful. The monthly bonus game for all staff is a very meaningful perk. The culture is fun and friendly with big focus on individual improvement. The company is well organized with clear processes that are well documented. This makes it easy to know what you need to do and how to do it well.

Cons

KnowBe4 is in a transition since PE bought it. There has been a lot of uncertainty. My sense is that management did not want to scare people about the likely impacts and also didn't know what to tell them. As a result, many people have had fears about their job security which were not addressed very well. Also, a lot of people were cut or left, so maybe their fears were justified. The worst part is that not a lot of communication was done to the broader group about any cuts so you would just hear rumors and see people missing and you didn't know who might be next or how widespread it was. More straight talk would likely have been appreciated by many. It is still a great company (far better than most) but is losing some of the luster that made it a truly incredible workplace. Mostly this is due to some changes and a few communication missteps related to the recent acquisition by PE.

KnowBe4 Response

Hello, and thank you for your feedback! We love to hear that you think KnowBe4 is a great company to work at. KnowBe4 has undergone several changes lately; a lot of those changes are exciting, but some have been more difficult decisions. As you mentioned, Stu is always sure to clearly explain changes during our daily company-wide meetings. Such as when it was decided that we would no longer offer the KnowBe4 Compliance Manager product, and Stu explained why to the whole organization. Afterward, we worked with all members of that team to move Knowsters to other related areas of the organization or to provide generous severance packages to care for these team members as they transitioned to the next step in their careers. While these changes were unfortunate, they were made with the best interest of the whole organization in mind and communicated to all employees, as Stu always strives to do. Other recent changes have been a lot more positive, such as KnowBe4 reinvesting into the benefits that Knowsters use the most to expand our employees’ favorite offerings and lower the price of health insurance. We’ve also seen a tremendous uplift in our fun and spirited office culture as increased numbers of Knowsters have been working in the office on a hybrid schedule. Change can be scary, even when it is positive change, so we appreciate your feedback. Thank you again.

Out of about 100 AE's only 10 hit Quota, OTE is a joke there. It's possible to hit quota if you are lucky with your inbound leads, but if you want to hit quota every month you have to do something moreso out of the box. I was trained by hard closers and have a lot of expierence with cold calls so i came up with my own script and was getting a demo a day, and was doing a demo a day. The demos did lead to sales as well, so it wasn't a waste of time. I got fired because of a "lack of professionalism" I spoke off script all the time because speaking on script leads you in to the Kool-aid drinkers club, aka not hitting quota consistently. I was fired without warning, even though I was told I had an incredible work ethic and was exceeding the ramp-up numbers. I just didnt match their sales style, they are not looking for salespeople, they are looking for sales associates. They make you work 9-hour days, 1 hour mandatory lunch that has to be taken in the middle of the day. 9-6pm. Their handbook even says you are allowed to take this lunch at 5 pm to go home sooner, but the managers never let that happen. DO NOT BE CREATIVE AT THIS JOB, DRINK THE JUICE.
