Pros

Knowable, being the spin-off of Axiom's is still gladly tapping into its relatively positive reputation on the market. This makes it a valuable CV entry, but in my opinion just as a kick-off to better, more ambitious things. Financially attractive for law graduates and trainees as compared to the ludicrously low law firms' rates. I strongly advise against engaging in Knowable for the long haul though.

Cons

Knowable combines all the worst features of both start-ups (smaller budget, scale and internal mobility) and corporations (relentless fight agains individuality, absurd pressure on productivity at the expense of the quality, no real supervision of the US headquarters over the local management). The company has a talent for finding and attracting talented, charismatic people, only to notoriously waste their potential by burying them in a sea of repetitive, frustrating activities and suppressing any signs of initiative. Lack of any possibility of skills' development, programs, trainings. There is only one path - from the Analyst position (interpreting the same set of clauses to predefined fields, with a lot of luck - drafting repetetive emails to the Client) to Manager (pushing the Analysts, capitalizing on their results, campaigning against other managers). It has not yet occurred to anyone to allow employees to become SMEs and voicing this concern is met with an aggressive suppression.   Management - very low age average, mostly little experience in managing people, fragile ego, lack of interpersonal skills, management by conflict. Authority built on intimidation and collecting receipts of mistakes to be used in case of any criticism against superiors. With few exceptions - appalling lack of knowledge of the processes they are responsible for, masked by defensive behavior and deflecting. Misrepresentation of results by constantly changing the criteria, data model and reporting. Employees shifted between streams without any communication or respect for their preferences or job description. Constant firefighting results in the lack of any long-term vision, both for the entire Team and individual employees.  Competence and actual value of someone's knowledge/ work gives way to personal likes and dislikes of the superiors. Every dissenting opinion, even if culturally expressed, is instantly brought to the attention or HR or reflected in ones feedback, automatically resulting in being labeled "difficult". The best results and Customer feedback will not protect such a person from a permanent lack of professional gratification, often pushing them to leave (probably deliberately). HR ,without exceptions takes the Management's side, often escalating situations which do not require it. Employee turnover is huge, hardly anyone lasts longer than 2 years, once in 3/4 practically the entire 40-person Team is entirely replaced.  No Christmas bonus for 2 years in a row due to setting too high goals. Interval between evaluation sessions and announcement of raises/promotions - November-March. Raises that were previously retroactive to January - in 2021 turned out effective after announced - March (with no previous notice). Bonus for additional language and raises is calculated from the base salary for the position and not actual earnings - another unpleasant surprise. Lots of similar incidents added up to a complete lack of mutual trust. In summary - Knowable is not attractive enough either financially or prestige-wise to afford to operate in such chaos and toxic atmosphere.
