Pros
Trust me there are really no pros aside the fact that you have something to add to your CV when searching for greener pastures, and maybe the free lunch in the office.
Cons
1. Kobo 360 is a sinking ship. Don’t be fooled by the PR which they are using to whitewash the company. It’s clear to everyone that the business cannot grow beyond a certain level, even the investors refused giving additional funding. Revenues are declining significantly. I personally can’t see this company existing or at best case scenario just staying afloat within the next 12 months 2. Indians will always be your boss, no matter how exceptional and intelligent you are. They prefer hiring foreigners-Indians especially, and paying them thousands of US$ to co-ordinate, but you the intelligent Nigerian will do the dirty job and collect peanuts as salary. It’s all still part of the PR to prove that they are international to the investors 3. Don’t be fooled when they reach out to you on LinkedIn. They do that regularly, and they will promise you heaven and earth, but trust me by the time you come in, you will discover that 80% of the time, you will be struggling to keep your job 4. The company has a very unrealistic growth plan. There’s no way anyone can consistently meet that plan for a year. So your job will always be on the line, and trust me when I say they reduce the workforce at least 3 times a year. Trust me Kobo 360 is a sinking ship and you wouldn’t want to be a part of it. The future of the business model of Kobo 360 is very bleak. There is nothing tech about the business. People are the One’s that manage the process.
