Good work if you can survive the politics and pressure to show your value - Compliance Director Koch Employee Review

Pros

Benefits, cafeteria, parking, good soldiers

Cons

Leadership without clear objective or transparency, pressure to show your value and "transform" the company, 11 different companies with 11 different leaderships and goals and objectives and systems, politics (if you are not in, you are out and at risk). Also, if you move here, you are at higher risk. There are only 4 large employers in town - Koch, Spirit, Textron, and Cargill. This is bad for your salary growth (why do they need to give you any raises or bonuses - where are you going to go?), and bad for alternative employment options. You'll have to be ok with moving out. Keep a 6-month emergency fund at all times. Koch tends to move folks up and out, and a change in your supervisor could be the difference between a great job and your exit. If I could do it over, I would not have moved here. I would opt for larger city.

MBM is the foundation to not only our culture but our business practices and beliefs and is in everything we do. Our review process is meant to help grow and support each employee in their career journey and not to be discouraging. We always have and will have work to do on ensuring this is happening across our businesses and you provide a great reminder on why it is so important. I would encourage you to speak to your manager or local HR representative around your concerns. Please know though, that I am sharing this with the appropriate leadership team as well as awareness and opportunities. Thank you again.

Pros

Good group of folks to work with

Cons

Culture is almost cult-ish Doesn't pay well Unless you don't spew out PBM vocabulary, you're not seen as a 'valuable' member of the team
