Pros

Going in early, getting out at decent time.

Cons

Not enough hours. Start around Thanksgiving and hours will be 20+ per week as part time. Once January rolls around, hours down to 5 or 8 hours a week if your lucky. And then they call and say no truck, so you get no hours at all for the week. Morning meetings consist of telling you how much you need to push the credit card; even if you have no idea about it. Sing the praises of certain people constantly, even though everyone’s busting their butts. Some attitude with people who start a month before you did, telling you what to do, even though they’re no higher than you and doing the same job. People need to leave their attitudes at the door and be decent to their coworkers. I have a name and had a name tag on my shirt, but one women kept snapping her fingers and calling me “you.” Really. I even told her I have a name and name tag.

Pros

managers can be friendly at times

Cons

Little to no training been working here for almost a year now there’s still something I don’t know every day. What was most difficult for me was being at registers as I was trained in two days by shadowing someone. There are so many situations and problems that will come up every day and you will learn something new! They never taught me about Kohl’s cash, how to read receipts, reprint or edit receipts. They schedule so little so when you do learn something there’s no chance of rehearsal because you come in three weeks later working at a different department.
