Pros

Flexibility and the ability to request time off (within reason) online from home.

Cons

Does not pay a living wage and never schedules a full 40-hour work week, which means store is chronically and critically understaffed. Merchandise amasses in the stockroom, due to lack of associates available to move it to the floor. (You can't sell a product if customers don't know you have it or if you can't find it in the piles of boxes in the stockroom. This leads to "phantom stock-outs" and lost sales.) Training is a joke, with emphasis on how to be nice rather than how to competently do your job. There is a lot of video-only training that doesn't allow interaction. On-the-job training is truncated due to understaffing.

Pros

managers can be friendly at times

Cons

Little to no training been working here for almost a year now there’s still something I don’t know every day. What was most difficult for me was being at registers as I was trained in two days by shadowing someone. There are so many situations and problems that will come up every day and you will learn something new! They never taught me about Kohl’s cash, how to read receipts, reprint or edit receipts. They schedule so little so when you do learn something there’s no chance of rehearsal because you come in three weeks later working at a different department.
