The mission is meaningful, and some genuinely kind colleagues try hard to create a positive environment despite the challenges.

Cons

- The culture is far more toxic than advertised. The organisation promotes values of openness, respect, and wellbeing, but many employees experience the opposite. There is a persistent disconnect between the brand message and the internal reality. - Lack of fairness and transparency is a major issue. Decisions often feel predetermined, communication is unclear, and processes can feel biased or inconsistently applied. This erodes trust quickly. - Support is minimal and inconsistent. Employees who ask for help, clarity find themselves facing resistance, dismissiveness, or long periods without resolution. - Psychological safety is extremely limited. Many people hesitate to speak openly because feedback or concerns can be misinterpreted or held against them. You learn early on that it’s safer to stay quiet than to challenge anything. - Diversity and inclusion feel like a marketing message rather than lived principles. While the organisation speaks about inclusivity, experiences vary greatly, and some environments feel unwelcoming or inequitable, particularly for those with differing communication styles, personal circumstances, or backgrounds. - Leadership is reactive rather than supportive. Issues are often ignored until they escalate, and employees are left feeling isolated. Constructive criticism is not always taken well, and escalation routes don’t always lead to meaningful change. - Processes are poorly structured and lack accountability.

A fair and transparent culture is something we value and actively embed across all stages of the employee lifecycle. We are committed to providing robust support for our people and to leading through clear values and expected behaviours. If at any time team members feel worried about speaking openly, we strongly encourage them to use our confidential Speak Up portal. This allows concerns to be raised safely and helps us identify and resolve issues constructively. We also have well established communication frameworks in place, including weekly all-staff updates and regular messages from leaders, to ensure openness, clarity and engagement across the organisation. We are proud of the diversity across our workforce and actively foster an inclusive environment where differences are respected and valued. This diversity reflects the communities and Service Users we support and strengthens our ability to deliver inclusive, responsive and high-quality services. In addition, we have robust processes to support individual needs, including reasonable adjustments where required, to ensure everyone can thrive at work. We were pleased that our most recent staff survey recognised management in such a positive light, which reassures us that many of our people feel supported and well-led. That said, we recognise there is always more to do and we take all feedback seriously as part of our ongoing commitment to improvement. Pros

I absolutely love the team culture here. There is a strong "autonomous vibe" that allows you to own your work and execute without unnecessary handholding or micromanagement. In my opinion, the company mission is underrated. We have a serious, tangible impact on the young adult community, which makes the work deeply rewarding. It’s great to see the genuine commitment from our leadership teams. They prioritize clear communication and are actively invested in helping everyone grow and succeed.

Cons

Like any startup organization, there is a high need to pivot quickly when changes come. You have to be comfortable with a fast-moving environment.

Remote , constantly growing in role

Cons

No pay raise, pay raise after 2yrs was only .50 cents. Ridiculous for how much training and experience we have.
