      Good mission but low pay - Field Consultant Kumon Employee Review

      Pros

      It's easy to believe in the mission and stay motivated to help students.

      Cons

      Management is top-down and very male-dominated. I haven't had a direct boss in many months, and when I do, they are ex-pats from Japan that often have difficulty communicating with U.S. employees and don't stay very long.

      Pros

      Contributing to an educational environment, work didn't require any prior experience.

      Cons

      Management consistently took in more kids than the employees had capacity for, which lead to a lot of crunch for what should have been a straightforward task. The amount of work we were required to do did not scale with the $8 an hour I was receiving.
