Pros

Kurt is employee owned, so people work together to solve problems and improve the products.

Cons

The pay is on the low side. I left because I couldn't afford to work there.

Thank you for sharing your insights on glassdoor! Because we value our Employee Owners , Kurt takes pay and benefits seriously. In addition to our comprehensive medical, dental and vision coverage, we offer a wide array of other benefits including life insurance, short and long term disability, critical illness, accident and hospital indemnity, wellness benefits, tuition reimbursement and a 401K plan. Kurt also rewards employee with company shares every year as part of the ESOP (Employee Stock Ownership Plan). This enables its Employee Owners to gain in their ownership stake in the company while building a nest egg in preparation for retirement. Because these benefits and competitive, market based pay, Kurt’s turnover is one of the lowest in the industry.

Pros

It was a decent job. Wasn't great It was better than some jobs I had at the time

Cons

Pay structure still lives in the '80s benefits. Still live in the '80s and they expect you to do lots of work. Pay you very little and treat you like it. You're a child but try to act like it's family. In other words, they're going to not pay you what you're worth Making custodians build boxes when the managers are perfectly capable of doing this or they could get someone else to do this that are skilled at this, especially since we're not even getting paid for that job when the people who that being the managers are getting extra money for building boxes but having us build it. That's BS and are being used as in indentured servitude
