Pros
Management let the expectations be known from the beginning, and mostly allowed the space for the work to be done autonomously. They were generous and supportive.
Ownership/ management encourage the land/sales to do well because it increased the bottom line of the company and the team. Ownership stood by their word and were generous with payouts.
Cons
Wanted control over employees that they did not legally have the bounds to control/influence. I say this in a minimal fashion, not at all in a predatory or untrustworthy way.
Company ownership/management are serial entrepreneurs, felt that It could sometime interfere with direction of this particular practice, which is the only one that I (the employee) cares about.
