Pros
Flexible hours Good people Fairly interesting projects As much work as you want Lots of stability over time
Cons
Management is disconnected from the actual programs. Management doesn't understand the technologies. A constant stream of useless emails from corporate about political things that don't relate to most people's jobs. Corporate is very disconnected partially because the company is so large. Management doesn't take ownership of the direction of the company or technology. This is partially because most of the work is government contracts. Benefits are decreasing: pension, cost of health care, dental, vacation has gone to "unlimited", and many other negatives. The merger with Harris was an overall negative on almost every aspect of the employee's experience. Out-performers are not rewarded appropriately. It is best to be average.
