Pros
-There are a lot of opportunities to further your current skill set or advance an existing skill set. -LANAIR is filled with a very talented group of people. Although many people don't have the availability to train everyone always, when training is offered by Senior/Principal engineers, it is usually helpful and detailed. - LANAIR offers a fairly relaxed environment for their workers. We often joke and have good comradery as a team. -For a relatively smaller company, LANAIR offers great benefits including great insurance and 401Ks. -LANAIR is home to an environment that is meant for people who are willing to think critically and find solutions to new challenges. If you're looking for a job where you don't have to think, this isn't the place for you. -LANAIR offers a lot of flexibility when it comes to time off and scheduling conflicts. -LANAIR is still a growing business, which means there is a lot of opportunity to move around in the company and move into different roles.
Cons
-Just like many IT jobs, there is either very little to do or there is too much work to keep up with. There isn't a consistent work load. -When you get a group of talented and smart people together, there is always room for people to butt heads or for conflict to arise. Although it's not been the focal point of my time working at LANAIR, it happens. -As in many IT positions, higher skilled engineers work after hours a significant amount.
