Pros

opportunities to travel and build relationships within the industry

Cons

This is, without question, the worst place I have ever worked. Leadership is the core issue. The CEO runs the company in an ego-driven, top-down manner where disagreement is seen as disloyalty. Decisions feel reactive, inconsistent, and often disconnected from market reality. There is little to no openness to feedback, and challenging ideas — even constructively — is not welcomed. The turnover rate on the sales team is extremely high, and after working there, it’s easy to understand why. Targets are set and changed arbitrarily, often without data or logic to support them. Expectations are unrealistic and then weaponized when they aren’t met. Despite the company being around for nearly two decades, leadership continues to hide behind the “startup” excuse to justify weekend messages, lack of boundaries, and constant pressure. There is no real work-life balance. You are expected to be available at all times. The culture is fear-based. Messaging around performance frequently centers on how easily you can be replaced. Instead of building a motivated, empowered team, leadership relies on intimidation. Morale is low, and most employees operate carefully to avoid triggering the CEO’s unpredictable reactions. HR, in my experience, was completely ineffective. It does not function as a neutral support system for employees. Concerns go nowhere, and there is no meaningful advocacy when issues involve leadership. You are essentially on your own. There were also serious concerns around financial stability. Compensation and payments were delayed, with explanations tied to the company being in financial trouble. That alone created a significant level of stress and uncertainty. The product itself feels outdated compared to competitors, despite constant internal claims that it’s best-in-class. There appears to be little real awareness of how far ahead other companies in the market have moved.
