Pros

I met and worked with some of the best, most talented individuals. Location is beautiful and facilities are very nice.

Cons

Where to begin. LFP Broadcasting is run poorly, treats its employees as expendable collateral, has shady business practices, and even shadier behavior from upper Management and staff. This Company functions on an environment of fear. Mass layoffs occur at any given time, and if you manage to move up in the Company to a higher position, it is likely a pay increase will not even be included. If you are fortunate enough to receive a pay increase, you are only putting yourself out there to be on the chopping block for the next round of lay offs. This Company has moved steps back from when it started, having been an innovator in digital storage (when it was New Frontier Media), and then moving back to a tape system, the Company will not allow itself out of the stone age. I will say that one of the best things about this company is the people. And one of the worst things about this company is the people. If you are a female, you can expect to move nowhere in this Company, at least in the Boulder office. Expect to have to fight for every scrap of respect, and have your ideas and hard work squandered. However, if you enjoy being flirted with, and having your personal life inappropriately delved into by upper Management, by all means apply at LFP Broadcasting. You may feel some comfort in knowing there is an HR department, but unfortunately, everything is micro managed from the LA office, and any disciplinary actions are hard to come by, no matter the offense. If you are someone who stands up for themselves and their employees well being, you will be punished, terminated, or laid off. Doing the right thing in this company is NOT acceptable behavior. Those who DO NOT perform their duties are rewarded, while the hard working employees are simply pushed even harder, with no monetary recognition, or upper management recognition. "Raise" is a four letter word here, again, poor management and business decisions have left no room for monetary appreciation to employees. As a Manager with this company, I scrambled to nominate employees for employee of the month so they could at the very least receive a small monetary bonus during these tough economic times. Expect other employees to take credit for your ideas and accomplishments with no corrective action, and this is normal behavior within this establishment. I have spoken to HR professionals outside of LFP and explained just some of the things that have taken place in this Company, only to be met with shock that this company is still in business. Yes, the Company has a beautiful facility, that is from the previous owner having acquired it before LFP took over. However, the very large building is half empty due to lack of expansion. LFP could have created a huge international Broadcasting hub from this facility, but they squandered it on poor business decisions, practices and bad management. Having been a long time employee at this Company when it was owned by different individuals, I can truly say that, while it had its issues as New Frontier Media, its decline since being acquired by LFP (Larry Flynt), is truly sad. I cannot stress enough the negative morale and atmosphere this Company projects onto its employees, it is cancerous. With a difficult job market, current employees remain and work, but the constant lack of transparency, lay offs, distrust of employees, and poor business decisions speak volumes. LFP Broadcasting embodies everything negative about the word "Corporate". Do yourself a favor, click on the next job posting and avoid this place entirely, you will be a better person for it, and no doubt appreciated more elsewhere.

Pros

Coworkers are really nice and great people.

Cons

No bonuses, they don't care about employees happiness, benefits are bare minimum. If they don't thing egos are being stroked enough the take away anything they can from employees... The office is dark and depressing which now no longer has any art work which made it somewhat bearable... Work machines take 5-15min to load and refresh anything (excel, Google... Anything you need).. anything to make a dime for corporate overlords and nothing to benefit employees anymore. On top of all of that there's little to no room for career growth and they're so being on tech standards you can't start here to grow skills cuz you'll be missing anything modern company's need you to know.
