Pros

Invaluable experience in a complex field Pay is good for the area Excellent mentorship in some areas Great experience working with different diverse cultures and backgrounds Good benefits

Cons

Not very good at keeping promises concerning advancement and growth opportunity There is a stark difference between how LG leadership treats their employees and how the Honda leadership treats theirs, and it is very toxic and intense from the LG side. Expectation of essentially giving every ounce of your energy and time to your team, despite them giving none to you. Very chaotic work schedule, with 20+ hours of scheduled overtime per week on some occasions and flipping between 1st and 2nd shifts being the norm. Lack of communication and management in terms of goals, plans, and action items. Lack of prioritization of work and everything is “ASAP” until things fall through the cracks. A generous comp time structure, where your overtime can be taken off as PTO later, works in an ideal circumstance. but the expectation of constant work leaves it kind of useless. Vicious cycle of LG departments not trusting Honda departments with certain information or tasks, then blaming them for not being accept more responsibility.

Pros

Good benefits state of the art facilities

Cons

Horrible communications and if you work hard, people will take it for a granted. Working hard is necessary. But only within the reason. But it does not work that way here

Pros

- Good industry experience for a first job, lots of learning opportunities. - Hands-on experience with equipment - No micromanagement

Cons

- Terrible work schedule. Management will assign you to the second shift if they feel the need for support. - Horrible communication between CTO and COO. CTO members will just do things their way without caring for safety or telling the COO members. - HR is incredibly slow at doing everything: new policies, employee harassment issues, and promotions. - The company doesn't value engineers. High turnover rates in the engineering department because they simply refuse to promote from within. - No career growth. Management never sits down with you to talk about how you can get to the next level or even determine your yearly goals.
