High staff turnover - Teacher La Paz Community School Employee Review

When teachers speak up, they are reprimanded or fired. Teachers feel unheard and unsupported. Any type of feedback is seen as negativity that must be removed. Parents are sold a vision that is not reality in the classrooms. The school is “dual language” but there are no tools given to help students who are English or Spanish learners which puts a tremendous workload on the teachers. Difficult work-life balance. Very little planning time. Unrealistic expectations. Unclear communication from administration that frequently changes depending on what parents want.
