Pros

- Easy Job for Recent Grads/Interns - Resume Builder - Very Casual Dress Code (Jeans, Sweatshirts, Shorts, T-Shirts, Sweatpants and etc.) - Quarterly Company Lunches w/ prizes - Flex is allowed, but approval is needed and rarely given - International Work Experience - Half Days before Holidays - Very Friendly Staff - Clean Office Building

Cons

The Job - Mind-Numbing Work- You will spend most of your time creating Part Visions that are made in a standard format. - Scared of Change- This company is archaic in their Culture and Leadership . The CEO even frowns upon Middle Management praising employees. - Very Limited Growth Opportunity - The staff has either been there forever or is on its way out the door. It is depressing to see talented individuals leave for more promising work. - Low-End Pay - Raises and bonuses are below Market Standards. The Staff - High Turnover - About one or more people a month leave LaFrance's HQ of less than 200 people. - Staff - Comprised of mostly recent college grads and long-time employees preparing for retirement. Staff has either been broken from layoffs or is extremely green. - Middle Management - Consists mostly of relatives and friends of the owner and CEO. In many instances these individuals have been gifted their positions and have those working under them who are more suitable for the task. - CEO - Unfriendly, hot-headed, and strategically stifling. At one point taught training classes for Project Managers and frequently ridiculed employees for not providing the responses he was looking for.
