Pros

Easy to be hired if you've got experience. They do organize social events for you to meet the other people hired which is a nice touch.

Cons

They offer very insulting pay, even to those with years of experience. 6 euros an hour, when I tried to negotiate they still wanted me to go to the training on a Sunday... The same day as their open day. They wanted me to work for free on Sunday, meet the parents and then negotiate the 6 euros per hour.

Pros

A great opportunity for English speakers who have ever dreamed of living in the most beautiful and historic part(s) of Italy. Labsitters does a great job of preparing its teachers and then trusts them to do their job. If there was ever an issue, I could always speak with someone in the office. I never felt like I was being micromanaged, which is an issue I experienced at other companies of the same sector.

Cons

The job required a lot of moving about the city, but that honestly isn't even that big of a con when the city is Florence, Italy. Travellings to and from working locations is a breeze with public transit, or you can always just walk in Florence because the city is rather small and the weather is generally very nice.
