Calm environment with room for initiative but unclear directions - Library Reference Assistant Lansdale Public Library Employee Review

Everyone here is very easy to get along with, I've been here for almost eight years and love it as much now as I did when I started.

Libraries are still very underfunded so if you're looking to get rich the public library system definitely isn't the place.

The job is so easy. All you do is sit there and check in books. You are allowed to print out anything for school. You have time to study for school.

The pay is awful. The management doesn't really pay attention to anything and people complain all the time about how much they get paid. It gets old after a while. You also encounter some interesting people.
